FAQ

Does NightPosture diagnose sleep apnea or snoring?

No. NightPosture is for general fitness and wellness tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent sleep apnea, snoring, or any medical condition.

What sensors does NightPosture use?

NightPosture uses the iPhone's built-in motion sensors through Apple's CoreMotion framework to estimate torso orientation while the phone is placed on the chest.

Does NightPosture require Apple Health access?

Apple Health access is optional. If you grant permission, NightPosture can display selected sleep and recovery metrics alongside your position history. You can manage or revoke Health permissions at any time in the Apple Health app or iOS Settings.

How should I place the phone safely?

Use a secure chest pocket or a comfortable chest strap so the phone does not fall during sleep. Do not place the phone in a way that causes discomfort, pressure, restricted breathing, overheating, or unsafe charging conditions. Do not sleep with a damaged phone, damaged battery, or damaged charging cable.

Who should use this app?

NightPosture is intended for adults who want general wellness insights about sleep posture. If you have sleep apnea, breathing issues, chest pain, dizziness, or other medical concerns, consult a physician.
